Flick Lit and SMDykes Calendar launch

Well, i spent a wonderful evening in the company of some fabulous, talented and all around wonderful women at the SMDykes Calendar launch and Flick Lit winners ceremony last night - and it was fantastic!

The Flick Lit competition has been running since the Women's conference earlier this year and has culminated in the launch of the Flick Lit book which contains this years winning fiction, non-fiction and poetry entries (and there's some pretty hot stuff in there i can tell you!). There's also a new poem by Manchester's very own Vampire Queen, Rosie Lugosi

The Calendar contains a wonderful array of photographs (taken by another "home grown" star, holly). What truely is wonderful about the calendar is that all of the models in there are "real" women, all of them voluntary supporters of SMDykes. (How great is that?!) i felt very proud to be in amongst them last night.

i can certainly speak for myself (and probably for the majority of women who were there last night) when i say our thanks must go to the driving force behind it: Flame_boy without whose inspiration and motivation i'd have probably spent last night at home watching telly (rather than hob-nobbing with a bunch of fabulous, talented pervy women (luck me or what?!) ;-)

i was honoured to be asked to do some rigging for the calendar and so (with a shameless plug) here's my contribution to it . However, if you want to see the other 11 fantastic photographs then i'm afraid you'll just have to go buy yourself a calendar!

:-)
